Travelling is always a very good adventure. Whether it means flying to go all over the world or driving a few hours to the neighbouring village, the experience is always a new one. Travelling is a good opportunity to eat new foods, to master a different language, to make new friends as well as enjoy fun adventures. While in Vancouver you want to make sure you don’t overlook the historic Marine Building. History and culture are definitely the major reasons people will travel to Vancouver. While you’re there, don’t forget to check out the fantastic Stanley Park – it really gives you an opportunity to reconnect with nature.
Vancouver has excellent and enlightening cultural centres just like the The Western Front and the Doctor Vigari Gallery, where one can recognize the value of the resourcefulness and intellect of humankind. Or why not treat yourself with a little something special? The downtown shopping district has something for any taste.

God, I love this place, the space itself is brightly light, airy and nicely laid out- perfect for browsng. They have a wide selection of artistic pieces in various mediums, the black metal ‘flame’ stools were near the window, on my last visit. They stock a good selection from my favorite local artist, June Hunter- I love her pendants….I never tire of this store, and they have some reasonably priced items like pendants and hand made cards. Definately worth a look !

Any fan of architecture or the marine world has to enter the lobby. Just walk in and you are in one of the most ornate surviving art deco buildings in the world and we have it downtown Vancouver. I want an office in the building I don’t know what for BUT I WANT IT……. ok tantrum over. When you’re in the neighbourhood drop in.

Toque! was great this weekend. I actually took care of my Christmas shopping in one location and left feeling creatively satisfied. Glad I found out about this event.
